The permanent sections of the museum include an introduction to the history of the region, interior exhibitions from different ages and various social classes, as well as subject-oriented exhibitions, e.g. about kayaks and the Norse settlers. Finally, a memorial house for the poet, priest and painter Henrik Lund is part of the museum. |

Narsaq Museum is located in a beautiful area at the town’s old harbour. Some of the oldest buildings of the town, dating back to the founding of Narsaq in 1830, are housing the museum’s exhibitions here. You will find a museum shop and a relax area with photographs, books and historical videos. Furthermore, a children’s area equipped with old-fashioned (and also new) toys is available. During summer, various outdoor activities will be arranged, which are to be advertised at the Tourist Office. At the exhibitions, free guided tours will be given. |
Opening hours of the museum: May to September: every day from 1 pm to 4 pm. October to April: opened on appointment. Special exhibitions are arranged at the town’s Community Centre “A-21” (Fiskervej B-98) throughout the year.
